- Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card number or payment credentials on our servers
- Usage data: Basic information about how you interact with our site and emails
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Identify your elected federal representatives using your address
- Send you email alerts when legislation on your selected issues reaches a key action window
- Mail physical postcards to your representatives on your behalf when you purchase a send
- Send confirmation emails after a postcard is dispatched
- Process and verify payments
- Communicate with you about your account or significant changes to our service
We do not use your information for advertising, sell your data to third parties, or share it beyond the service providers listed below.
3. Third-Party Services
To operate Signal Post Now, we share limited data with the following service providers:
- Airtable: Stores your account data, issue preferences, and send history
- SendGrid: Delivers email alerts and confirmations to your inbox
- Lob: Prints and mails physical postcards to elected representatives on your behalf
- Stripe: Processes payments securely. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy
- Cicero (by Azavea): Used to look up your elected federal representatives based on your address
Each provider is contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Send records are retained indefinitely as a record of your civic activity. If you delete your account, your personal information will be removed within 30 days.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to opt out of email alerts at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. To exercise these rights, email info@signalpostnow.com.
6. Security
We use HTTPS for all data transmission and limit access to your data to authorized personnel and service providers only. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Children's Privacy
Signal Post Now is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of Signal Post Now after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
